Kehelland College are looking for a creative and motivated individual to join our team as our Employment and Progression support worker. This is a role that’s dedicated to assisting our learners get the best possible start in their next steps in the world of employment and volunteering.
This role will see you organising and managing the work experience relationships we already have with many local employers, as well as generating new partnerships and opportunities for the future. You will be responsible for gathering and organising the evidence that’s required to ensure our learners and the employers are gaining meaningful experience from the placement, as well as ensuring placements are compliant with various health and safety and risk requirements. You will be supported by and work with our Learner Experience Coordinator and group tutor; as a team you will ensure that work experience placements are a continuation of the skills developed in lessons, and challenges from the workplace can be addressed in the classroom.
The person in this role will be organised, efficient and passionate about creating great opportunities for our learners. You will need to manage appointments and external site visits, as well as showing good record-keeping and admin skills. While this role has some key duties and targets, you’ll be given the freedom to make the role your own; we welcome those with innovative new ideas that will help us continually improve our offering to the young people we support.
This role is for 30 hours per week, term-time only, with some flexibility to how those hours are spread across the week; this role is paid at £12.24 per hour.
