Participation Manager

Volunteer Cornwall is a county-wide organisation that builds social capital and supports the development of individuals and communities through voluntary action. An exciting opportunity has arisen in the organisation for the following post.

• To assist people to participate in activities within their community.
• To support the rehab and
  reablement of people in order to assist them to connect with others.
• To improve collaboration across the VCSE and the integration of practice with public sector partners.
• To develop place-based engagement opportunities for people to pursue their interests including, volunteering and employment for adults with ongoing support needs.

The post involves being part of a team to promote and represent the project to a wide range of
stakeholders and interested parties across the health and care system and beyond. The position
will also involve line-management of other projects within Volunteer Cornwall.

The successful applicant should have excellent organisational and communication skills with a
creative approach to problem-solving and have the ability to interact across sectors to build
relationships with a diverse range of individuals from the heath and care arena.

You must be able to drive and have a vehicle available for use during working hours.

The full-time salary is £39,186 per annum and attracts an essential travel allowance of £600 per
annum. There is also a business mileage rate of 45p per mile paid for work travel.
