Trustees

This is an incredibly exciting time for new Trustees to join First Light’s passionate Board. You will play a key role in changing the domestic abuse and sexual violence landscape by helping them secure new investment.

They are interested in Board members that have range of experiences.

They are seeking people with the passion, drive and commitment needed to support their mission. The team is seeking three new Trustees and have identified the following priority areas to complement existing strengths:

• HR – People & Culture
• Safeguarding – Children’s or Adult Services
• Lobbying / Campaigning – promoting system change
• Legal -Procurement / Contracts
• Fundraising / Income Generation (either charitable fundraising or commercial income generation through traded services)
• University Links

First Light particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates as they are underrepresented within First Light at this level. They would also be interested to hear from people with lived experience of domestic abuse or sexual violence. Whilst previous board experience is desirable, is not an essential requirement from all new trustees
