Chair of the Board

Coastline is looking for someone offering the experience to Chair the Board and to develop and oversee the strategic direction and strong governance of the Coastline Group.

The successful applicant will also be inspiring, motivating and empowering in leading the Board and Executive team. In addition to the Chair, they are also recruiting a Board Member and would also like to hear from those with specialist experience who may be interested supporting the Board through one of our governance committees.

Coastline is seeking values-driven appointees, who will share a passion for social justice and recognise the importance of operating with strong financial and commercial acumen.

You do not need to have a detailed understanding of their work, but you will be able to demonstrate an excellent fit to the following values;

You will also understand some of the challenges that customers, and the communities in which they live, face. Recognising the commitment to ‘place’, and focus on working with partners in Cornwall, for both positions it will be a great advantage if you share a passion for Cornwall.

For the Chair role it is essential that you have an exceptionally strong connection to Cornwall, whereas for the Board Member role it is desirable that you either live or work in the South West.
