St Piran’s Celebration
As part of the Pirantide festivities and in celebration of the University of Exeter, Cornwall’s 20th anniversary, the Institute of Cornish Studies will be hosting an event in celebration of Cornish identity and culture on Friday 8th March from 1600.
Through a series of talks, stands, and entertainment we will be celebrating organisations from across the local community and exploring what makes up the modern Cornish identity and the importance of culture to it as well as to the arts, businesses, communities, education and research across Cornwall and the wider Cornish diaspora.
There will be a Cultural Marketplace where you learn about an array of cultural, heritage, and identity groups from across Cornwall, short talks, and a Cornish ceilidh with locally-sourced food.
