Beach discovery with Sunrise

Sunrise is a new organisation founded by husband and wife Serena and Elliott Jolly, providing safe and supportive events, workshops and activities to support people who have been affected by suicide, in memory of Serena’s younger brother Sonny who died by suicide in January 2019.

Sunrise’s sessions are FREE and focus on music, art and wellbeing.

Serena, co-founder and director says,

“We’re pleased to announce our first Sunrise event of 2024! On Friday 26th January we’ll be hosting a beach discovery walk with Martin Hunt of Adventureline, at Chapel Porth Beach. We’d love to see you there, meet us by the yellow Sunrise flag!”

There will also be beach art (weather permitting) and a FREE hot drink and flapjack for all attendees, provided by Chapel Porth Beach Cafe.

  • Date – Friday 26th January 2025
  • Time – 10:30am to 13:30pm
  • Location – Chapel Porth Beach, Chapel Porth, St Agnes,Cornwall TR5 0NS
  • Details – Join us for a ‘beach discovery walk’, led by expert Martin Hunt of Adventureline. We will also create some beach art (depending on the weather!) and enjoy a free hot drink and flapjack at Chapel Porth Beach cafe.

  • Parking – Chapel Porth is a National Trust site and NT members get free parking, otherwise there is a small charge.
  • Notes – please wear sensible walking shoes and wrap up warm. Chapel Porth beach is rocky from the entrance to the car park, but there will also be plenty of clear beach as it will be low tide.
