Cornwall VSF and Volunteer Cornwall launch new volunteer recruitment campaign

We have teamed up with Volunteer Cornwall to launch a campaign to help encourage people across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to boost their wellbeing and give back to their community by becoming a volunteer for a local charity or community group.
We met seven incredible volunteers from across the Duchy and asked them why they love volunteering and how it makes them feel.
5 steps to mental wellbeing
Evidence suggests there are 5 steps you can take to improve your mental health and wellbeing. Trying these things could help you feel more positive and able to get the most out of life.
- Connect with other people
- Be physically active
- Learn new skills
- Give to others
- Pay attention to the present moment (mindfulness).
Volunteering supports all 5 steps and can help you meet people, learn new skills, gain experience, and get more active.
We will be distributing printed assets via the Community Hub network and via Volunteer Cornwall’s Community Makers and Social Prescribers.
