The Living Wage Foundation has revealed the shortlist for the Living Wage Champions Awards 2025
The Awards celebrate individuals and organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to the Living Wage movement.
Cornwall has been shortlisted for no less than three awards:
- Advocate of the Year – Simon Fann (Truro Foodbank)
- Campaign of the Year – Cornwall LWP Campaign
- Local Champion – Cornwall Council + Truro Foodbank
Simon Fann, of Truro Foodbank has worked tirelessly on the Real Living Wage campaign for Cornwall since its launch during Challenge Poverty Week in 2023 and we have been incredibly proud at Cornwall VSF as Real Living Wage employers to have been able to support Simon and the campaign ever since.
In February, we celebrated the news that Cornwall had become a National Living Wage Place and our CEO Emma spoke on behalf of VSF and the wider VCSE sector in support of the campaign at a launch event at Bedruthan Hotel and Spa.
This year’s ceremony will be held at the Great North Museum: Hancock in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne on Thursday 3rd July 2025. The winners of each category will be announced on the night.
Good luck to all the finalists!
