HealthWatch Cornwall Cost of Living Report

Healthwatch Cornwall has published the results of a cost-of-living report carried out late last year.

Described as a ‘snapshot survey’ of more than 400 people across Cornwall, it will be used as a comparator in much broader research being published by the independent health and social care watchdog in early 2025.

More than half of respondents in the preliminary report described themselves as ‘really struggling’ or ‘just getting by’ financially.

NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly has responded to the report with information about how the finding will be considered.

It has also published helpful information about the excellent range of local community support across Cornwall, and help that is in place to support people who may be impacted by cost of living.
