Family Information Service (FIS)

The service is based in Cornwall’s Multi-Agency Early Help Hub and operates a telephone helpline Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm alongside digital support.

The team provides information, advice and guidance to parents/carers and professionals regarding childcare, activities, and the SEND Local Offer.

The team maintain Cornwall’s comprehensive Family Information Directory which enables families and professionals to self-access a wide variety of information as below:

• Cornwall’s Local offer in relation to SEND
• Childcare provider information
• Information on Nursery Education Grants
• School Admissions Information and the appeals process
• Information on services and activities for children, young people and their families
