The Sports Foundation

The Foundation provides grants for organisations in the South West of England and Wales that support people with disabilities.

Two levels of grant are available for people at all levels in sport, from grassroots sport through to elite athletes.

Each funding level has a separate application process: (1) organisation grants for up to £1,000, and (2) organisation grants for up to £5,000.

Grants can be used to purchase equipment, attend training courses, any costs related to a sports activity for a person with a disability or visual impairment, and any costs relating to sporting challenges including travel, equipment, sustenance and accommodation.

Individual young people or adults residing in South West England or Wales who are physically disabled or have a visual impairment may also apply for grant support. Individual applicants must be part of a sports club, sporting pathway or linked to a National Governing Body. A number of case studies are available on the Foundation’s website.

Applications may be made at any time via the application form available on the Foundation’s website.
