The P F Charitable Trust is a family-based grant-making charity operating out of London. The Trust, which will be celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2026, was originally founded to make contributions to religious and educational bodies as well as other legal charities in the United Kingdom.
The Trust supports a wide variety of UK charitable causes. The principal areas of support during the year ended 31st March 2024 were:
- The advancement of health and the saving of lives.
- The advancement of education.
- The relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, and
- The advancement of the arts, culture, heritage and science.
However, the Trust supports a much broader range of causes, as demonstrated by its analysis of grants awarded on page 16 of its annual accounts.
The vast majority of grants awarded were for £20,000 or less. Major grants are listed on page 16 of the Trust’s annual accounts, together with the aforementioned analysis of grants awarded. The largest grant made during the year was £100,000 to the Prior’s Court Foundation, a registered charity near Newbury, West Berkshire, that provides education and residential care for autistic young people with complex needs aged 5-25.
