The Michael Crawford Children’s Charity
The Charity makes a limited number of grants to registered charities annually, often to the same organisations. Grants are made to UK registered charities for services and activities that benefit children and young people, particularly those who are disadvantaged through poverty and/or illness. The Charity also has the discretion to make grants to individuals, although few grants of this type tend to be awarded.
The Michael Crawford Children’s Charity, founded by the actor, singer and comedian Michael Crawford CBE in 1994, makes grants to UK registered charities and (very occasionally) to individuals to benefit children and young people who are disadvantaged through poverty and ill-health.
The Charity considers requests for grant aid from numerous charities and individuals and considers each request on its respective merits. The Charity’s annual grant expenditure is normally around £80,000.
A list of all grant recipients that were awarded £1,000 or more can be found on page 13 of the Charity’s annual accounts.
Please note that the Charity does not maintain a website or provide an email address.
Further information about the Charity, however, is available on the Charity Commission website.
