The Mageni Trust

The Mageni Trust is a family-based grant-making charity operating out of Pevensey, East Sussex. It has four trustees, all members of the Collins family.

The Trust supports general philanthropic causes, donating money to other charities across a range of activities. The trustees try to strike a balance between UK causes and third world issues. It does not give grants to individuals.

During the year ended 31st May 2023, the Trust made 98 grants totalling £135,350 (2022: 98 grants totalling £133,850).

The vast majority of awards were for between £500 and £3,000, with the occasional higher grant. Grants were a mixture of new and repeat awards to the same organisations.

A wide range of causes were supported during the year, including charities working in the areas of:

  • Arts.
  • Health.
  • Heritage.
  • Homelessness
