The Mageni Trust
The Mageni Trust is a family-based grant-making charity operating out of Pevensey, East Sussex. It has four trustees, all members of the Collins family.
The Trust supports general philanthropic causes, donating money to other charities across a range of activities. The trustees try to strike a balance between UK causes and third world issues. It does not give grants to individuals.
During the year ended 31st May 2023, the Trust made 98 grants totalling £135,350 (2022: 98 grants totalling £133,850).
The vast majority of awards were for between £500 and £3,000, with the occasional higher grant. Grants were a mixture of new and repeat awards to the same organisations.
A wide range of causes were supported during the year, including charities working in the areas of:
- Arts.
- Health.
- Heritage.
- Homelessness
- Hospices, and
- Women and girls.
