The Fidelio Charitable Trust aims to support groups and individuals (over the age of 21) of exceptional ability across the UK who would not otherwise be able to carry out an artistic project or activity without additional financial support. The Trust places a particular focus on supporting those who are at an early stage in their career.
Proposed grantees must be in real need of financial support and be particularly able and/or gifted.
Applications are accepted on behalf of individuals and groups who are practitioners or performers in the arts as well as institutions and colleges providing opportunities for those studying, practicing or performing, especially in the following fields:
- The dramatic and operatic arts.
- Music.
- Speech, and
- Dance.
Revenue grants of up to £5,000 are available. The Trust welcomes a match funding contribution as its charitable expenditure is limited to around £100,000 each year.
Individuals must be recommended by an appropriate person in an institution, college, arts festival or other arts organisation that can vouch for the abilities of the applicant.
Projects can be based overseas, although the applicant must be UK-based.

- Be supported for a specially arranged performance.
- Participate in external competitions.
- Receive special tuition or coaching (for example, in the case of musicians, to attend Master Classes), and/or
- Receive support for a special publication, musical composition or work of art.
