The Bay Tree Charitable Trust

London-based family grant-making Trust, the Bay Tree Charitable Trust usually makes a handful of grant awards each year to a diverse range of registered charities (the Trust does not fund individuals).

As with many grant-making Trusts, Bay Tree’s income is principally derived from listed investments, the value of which is dependent on movements in UK and world stock markets.

The Trust aims to make grants totalling a minimum of £120,000 per annum and does not anticipate any significant changes to the Charity or its activities over the next few years.

The Trust is a discretionary grant-maker, whose grant awards are not limited in any way except that the recipients should be UK registered charities and have a charitable need. Grants are made to UK charities working in the UK and/or overseas.

Please note the Trust does not maintain a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.

All requests for grant support should be made by letter or email, which should contain the following:

  • Aims and objectives of the applying charity.
  • Nature of the appeal.
  • Total funding target if for a specific project.
  • Contributions received against the funding target, and
  • Registered Charity Number and Any other relevant factorsLetters of application and emails should be accompanied by a set of the charitable organisation’s latest report and full accounts and should be addressed to: [email protected].
