Household Support Fund Round 5 – Cornwall Council

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has awarded Cornwall Council a further £4,528,569 through the Household Support Fund (HSF) to support those most in need to help with significantly rising living costs.  This funding covers the period 1 April 2024 to 30 September 2024.

The allocation of the HSF will provide direct support to households with and without children in line with the grant criteria to support those most in need with the cost of food, energy (heating, cooking, lighting), water bills and other essentials. Successful delivery of previous HSF rounds 1 – 4, has shown that a mixed method approach which allocates funding to existing Council services and external organisations ensures families, children, and adults at risk of, or experiencing financial hardship can access the funding and achieve the objectives of the HSF.
