Launch of Outset VCSE announced

Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum
7 June 2024

Cornwall Council’s Good Growth Programme has announced the launch of Outset VCSE, a comprehensive programme of specialised support designed to help community sector enterprises and organisation start, develop and thrive.

Outset VCSE is delivered by YTKO on behalf of the Growth Hub and will be delivered throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly until March 2025. The team are looking to work with new and existing social enterprises, community interest companies and voluntary and charitable organisations, foundations and trusts who are looking for support to start or grow, sustainability, skills enhancement and development, productivity improvements, financial management, governance, communications and sourcing funding.

Supporting VCSE businesses has always been a key part of Outset’s 15-year legacy of providing tailored, specialist business support in Cornwall recognizing the impact of community sector organisations on the Cornish economy and partnering with other projects and organisations such as Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change, Real Ideas Organisation and Cornwall School for Social Entrepreneurs to help support them.

Now, through a blend of regular specific topic-focused sessions (delivered by sector/subject specialists), 1:1 support (provided by a dedicated Outset advisor), and peer-to-peer training workshops and networking events, Outset VCSE will continue to help these new, early-stage and existing enterprises and organisations by providing the right specialized support to help them move forward sustainably.
