Volunteer Cornwall is a county-wide organisation, supporting the development of people and communities through voluntary action.  An exciting opportunity has arisen in the company for the following post:

Volunteering for Health Programme Manager

Cornwall is one of only 16 areas selected for funding from NHS England, NHS Charities Together and CW+.  We have a chance to re-imagine the role of volunteers across our health & care system.  We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who shares our passion for volunteering to join our team and lead this exciting project.

Working alongside stakeholders from the NHS and voluntary sector and based mainly in our office in Truro, the role involves providing strategic and practical implementation of the project plan (which includes designing a volunteer ‘passport’), embedding practical systems and processes to make volunteering easier and more effective and designing and implementing an expanded volunteer training academy with partners.

You will also liaise closely with the funders and other areas delivering this programme to share and learn from good practice elsewhere.

The successful applicant should have excellent organisational and communication skills and ideally have experience of managing people and projects.  You will need to have access to your own transport during working hours.

This is a full-time post for 5 days per week and the contract runs until June 2027.
