Volunteer Cornwall

Hours: This is a part time post, 3 days (22½ hours) per week
Salary: Salary £32,076 plus an essential travel allowance of £600 p.a. pro rata
Location: Truro

Volunteer Cornwall is a county-wide organisation that supports the development of individuals and communities through voluntary action.

As the Community Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator for the Community Health and Wellbeing Programme (CHWW) in the North and East of Cornwall, you will be working with local host partners from the charitable community, local neighbourhood teams, primary care networks, GP surgeries and supporting the Bodmin and Liskeard CHWW teams.

This is an expanding programme and opportunity to work in collaboration with organisations across the voluntary and health sector, focusing on what matters to people, developing teams who are based in local communities, following the Brazil Family Health Strategy model.

The role will include chairing community of practice meetings, training and development of the team, monitoring progress, attendance at various meetings and being able to present the programme to a wide range of stakeholders.

The successful applicant should have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Experience of working with organisations and wider partners and interaction with a range of individuals across a health and care system would be advantageous.  Organisational skills and relationship building will be imperative.

You must be able to drive and have a vehicle for use during working hours.
