Community Volunteer Co-ordinator – East Cornwall

Volunteer Cornwall

Hours: Full-time post for 37½ hours per week
Salary: £26,421 plus £600 Essential Travel Allowance per annum
Location: East Cornwall

Volunteer Cornwall is a county-wide organisation, supporting the development of people and communities through voluntary action.  An exciting opportunity has arisen in the company for the following post.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who shares our passion for volunteering to join our team, helping recruit volunteers and supporting the development of social action across North and East Cornwall. Working alongside colleagues from the NHS and voluntary sector and based in the new Health Inequality Hub in Launceston, the role involves all aspects of volunteer recruitment and support – both for the partners in our health and care system, the developing Community Hub network and for the many hundreds of voluntary sector organisations we support.

The successful applicant should have excellent organisational and communication skills and ideally have experience of working with volunteers. Some knowledge of the health and care system would be helpful but training can be given. You will need to have access to your own or public transport during working hours. The role also involves co-ordinating Volunteer Cornwall’s wider activities in the North and East Cornwall Integrated Care Area so some management or supervisory experience would be helpful.

This is a full-time post for 5 days per week. The salary is £26,421 per annum and attracts an essential travel allowance of £600 per annum.
