About Cornwall Gateway CIC:

Cornwall Gateway CIC is at the forefront of a transformative initiative to establish an Agri-Food and Drink Resource Centre for Cornwall, aimed at revolutionising the region’s food and drink industry.

The Centre will provide essential services such as food processing, packaging, distribution, and innovation support. It will also champion sustainability, reduce food miles, and fortify local supply chains. Our mission is to position Cornwall as a leader in sustainable food production and innovation, while creating a prosperous future for the region’s food and drink sector.

We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and passionate Non-Executive Director of Marketing & Communications to join our board and spearhead the development of Cornwall Gateway’s marketing strategy.

You will lead the creation of impactful campaigns that highlight the very best of Cornwall’s food and drink industry, driving awareness and attracting investment to this ambitious project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Development of Cornwall Gateway’s Marketing Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that positions Cornwall Gateway as a leader in the food and drink sector. Your leadership will drive awareness, enhance our brand, and attract investment.
  • Creative Campaign Leadership: Design and execute innovative marketing strategies that bring the essence of Brand Cornwall to life. Your campaigns will resonate with a wide audience, showcasing the impact of Cornwall Gateway on the local food and drink industry.
  • Investment Campaigns: Lead high-impact, results-driven campaigns designed to attract funding and investment, ranging from crowdfunding efforts to major investor pitches. Demonstrated success in running campaigns that result in investment is essential.
  • Build an Engaging Digital Presence: Oversee the development and execution of Cornwall Gateway’s digital strategy, leveraging social media, website content, and online engagement to build a vibrant community of supporters and stakeholders.
  • Event Leadership: Support and guide the planning and execution of large-scale events, bringing together industry leaders, investors, and the community to showcase Cornwall’s potential in the food and drink sector.
  • Communicate Core Social Values and Organisational Ethos: Authentically represent and communicate our deep-rooted social values and strong organisational ethos.

Your experience spans traditional and digital marketing platforms, and you are adept at building campaigns that deliver real results.
  • Passionate About Cornwall: Your passion for Cornwall’s food and drink culture is matched by your drive to see the region’s businesses thrive. You understand Cornwall’s unique qualities and how to promote them effectively.
  • Experienced in Marketing & Communications: You have extensive experience leading innovative marketing campaigns within the food and drink sector, with a deep understanding of PR, brand development, and digital marketing.
  • Strategic & Connected: You have an established network within the food and drink industry, and you know how to leverage your connections to foster partnerships, attract investment, and create new opportunities for Cornwall Gateway.
