Working as part of their Community Maker team, Volunteer Cornwall is looking for a Mid-Cornwall Community Maker. The successful candidate will work closely with voluntary and public sector partners across Mid-Cornwall as part of pioneering work taking place to re-shape physical and mental health and care services around a place-based approach.
Based at their Truro office, the role involves engaging with the communities of central Cornwall and supporting the ongoing development of the Community Hub network.
The successful applicant should have excellent organisational and communication skills and be experienced in working with individuals, organisations, and communities.
A basic knowledge of the local voluntary sector would be an advantage, but training can be given.
You will need to be able to drive and have a vehicle for use during working hours.
The post is full time (Mon – Fri, 37½ hours per week). The salary is £26,421 per annum with an essential travel allowance of £600 per annum. There is also a business mileage rate of 45p per mile paid for work travel.
