Location: This role will be split between the Citizens Advice office in Liskeard (where the Liskeard Foodbank is also located) as well as the Foodbank’s premises in Looe and Torpoint

Citizens Advice Cornwall is looking to recruit a Debt & Generalist Adviser (Food Bank partnership)

We are looking to recruit an exceptional and highly organised individual with proven experience of providing advice and support to clients; this role will be predominantly in the area of debt advice, and qualification in this area will be required.

This role has been established to provide debt advice to clients of the Liskeard and Looe Foodbank. It will be based in the locations of the Liskeard & Looe Foodbank (Liskeard, Looe and Torpoint) as well as our Liskeard office, enabling us to deliver debt and advice services in the heart of our community to support some of Cornwall’s most vulnerable and in need of support.

This role is advertised at 3 days a week, however for the right candidate there may be the opportunity of increasing this up to full time. If this is to be undertaken as a full-time position then the role would also involve supervision of other debt advisers. This would need to be discussed further at interview.

We offer:

  • 22.5 hours per week
  • Salary – £22,250 – £25,500 (Band C) per annum pro rata
  • Permanent contract
  • This role will be split between the Citizens Advice office in Liskeard (where the Liskeard Foodbank is also located) as well as the Foodbank’s premises in Looe and Torpoint. There is an opportunity for some work to be conducted remotely however initial client meetings are likely to be face to face in the foodbank’s locations.
