World Refugee Week Celebration

A celebration of the resilience and contributions of our refugee community.

Enjoy delicious food from around the world while visiting our variety of community stalls, including produce and crafts from Syria, Palestine and Ukraine.

Rundown of the day

  • 12-6pm Jumble, craft and community stalls trading.
  • 4pm Free music workshops open to all with Diabel Cissokho (theatre)
  • 4pm Val Baker (outside/garden room)
  • 5pm Free music workshops open to all with Baraka (theatre)
  • 5-7pm Feast for Freedom serve hot food plus child friendly pasta
  • 5.15pm Shallal (outside /garden room)
  • 6pm Ukrainian Sunflowers (outside/garden room)
  • 7.45pm Diabel Cissokho performance (theatre)
  • 9pm Baraka performance (theatre)
  • 10pm End

Getting there
Princess Pavilion is a 5-10 min walk from Falmouth Town station.

Food & drinks
The Pavilion café is open for food until 3pm ish.
Our donations table opens at 4pm with handmade cakes and savouries.
Plus there will be pay-what-you-can hot vegetarian food – plus kids pasta – from Feast for Freedom 5-7pm.
Bar will be open throughout the day and evening for hot and cold drinks

Shallal – inclusive dance theatre group
Ukrainian Sunflowers – choir and violinist
Diabel Cissokho – Saltash based Kora player (stringed african instrument ) plus singer
Baraka – Bristol based 5 piece band, with influences from Ghana, Senegal, Dominica, Germany, Trinidad and Ireland
