Newquay Orchard: Introduction to IT
At Newquay Orchard we believe in supporting our community and as part of this, we would like to help people who need to improve their digital skills. We are planning a series of “Introduction to IT courses” which will run on Thursday afternoons. You will learn how to use a laptop or tablet, how to create and use email, how to search the internet, how to make a video call and many other basic digital skills.
This beginner’s course is for anyone who wants to learn digital skills, no matter your current knowledge. This course is appropriate for complete beginners, so don’t worry if this is all new to you. Groups will be small to ensure one to one support is available and we will move at a pace that suits the group.
The session will be run by Ben Bolton and supporting staff. The aim is to improve the confidence of participants so that they can feel comfortable using a computer. We plan to run these sessions on Thursday afternoons, every other week. Each group will get a 4-week program.
Start date: Thursday 19th September or Thursday 26th September depending on which group you are assigned to.
Location: Large meeting room at rear of café in the main Newquay Orchard building
