Lunch and Learn: Procurement Act 2023 and Contract Procedure Rules

On behalf of Cornwall VSF and Cornwall Council, we would like to invite you to join a discussion on how the Council Contract Procedure Rules, will maximise the new opportunities in the Procurement Act 2023.

If you are a VCSE organisation who currently contracts with Cornwall Council or may be interested in doing so in the future, this is your opportunity to hear more about how the new rules will impact YOU.

Public procurement needs to achieve best value and the Procurement Act 2023 stands as pivotal legislation reshaping the procurement landscape. The provisions of the Procurement Act need to flow through into the Council’s Contract Procedure Rules governing Council procurement activity. This session will discuss how the Council Contract Procedure Rules will maximise the new opportunities in the Procurement Act 2023 with a focus on:

• How will we be easier to do business with,
• How will we support the local economy,
• How will we treat local suppliers,
• How will we encourage social value through procurement activity.
