Above the Desert and Below the Water (11am–12.30pm):
Join a panel discussion led by Jelena Sofronijevic, featuring voices from Dhaqan Collective, Kaajal Modi, and more. Explore how migration and climate issues intertwine with oral traditions and memory.
Waterway Listening with Kaajal Modi (1.30–3pm):
Take part in an immersive “embodied listening” session, discovering field recordings from British waterways that tell migration stories and community reflections.
Listening with Dhaqan Collective (2–3.30pm):
Experience Somali weaving songs and oral traditions through an evocative audio soundscape guided by Fozia Ismail and Ayan Cilmi, ending with networking opportunities and Somali hospitality.
