Our cutting-edge Climate Skills through Creativity brings together advanced technology, real-world learning, and expert-led training to help individuals and businesses in Cornwall build resilience against the impacts of climate change and inspiring them to innovate around mitigation and adaptation.
Thanks to the generous support of Cornwall Council’s Creative Industry Fund, SWW, and the Community Chest Programme, we are offering free spaces for Cornwall-based businesses and individuals looking to upskill for the net zero economy. This is your opportunity to future-proof your home or business, engage with innovative solutions, and become part of Cornwall’s journey to a more sustainable and resilient future.
What to Expect from the Programme:
Hands-On Activities and Real-World Application:
- Complete essential tasks, including developing personal and business flood plans, understand and apply for property flood resilience protection, and take part in must-do carbon reduction initiatives.
- Experience tools and resources that allow you to apply what you’ve learned directly to your business, organisation or home, online and face-to-face.
Networking and Collaboration Opportunities:
- Connect and meet others, innovators, businesses and industry experts through interactive workshops and the final graduation event, to bring everything together on your guided Climate Change Centre experience.
- Meet and gain insights from special guest speakers, including climate scientists, government representatives and community leaders.
Bespoke Accredited Training:
- This tailored Continuing Professional Development programme is for employees in the CPD system and everyone else no matter where you are or what your level is.
- Upskill at pace (within 8-12 hours), completing & recording practical strategies to mitigate risks and adapt to climate change.
- Expert-led workshops and training sessions will equip you with the tools to build climate resilience in your business operations.
Augmented Reality Learning Experience for all:
- Having learnt about past climate change events locally at the start, we study the same site together in the future to visibly refine the adjustments to make now. Our multi-partner created augmented reality scenario enable you to immerse yourself in the final interactive session, providing the wow factor needed to mobilise an enhanced future.
