An Introduction to Parental Imprisonment online
An introduction to the issue of the impact of parental imprisonment delivered by specialist charity Children Heard and Seen.
Children impacted by parental imprisonment are largely invisible; there is no statutory mechanism to identify who or where they are; resulting in children being left without the appropriate support. This training will equip participants to be more informed about the issue and to be; at a minimum; parental imprisonment curious. By the end of the training; you will have increased your understanding of the number of children impacted; the negative impacts and what can be done to mitigate them.
Training is designed to raise awareness of the Serious Violence Prevention Programme’s children affected by parental imprisonment project. ACTing with Children is delivered by the Argyle Community Trust in Cornwall.
