  • 20,000: the number of people who benefited from Objective One funded projects in the voluntary sector

Cornwall Infrastructure Partnership report – The Needs of the Voluntary Sector in Cornwall

The 2009 Cornwall Infrastructure Partnership report entitled The Needs of the Voluntary & Community Sector in Cornwall features detailed information about issues facing the sector, and how the larger infrastructure charities can work to help smaller organisations.

Key findings include: -

  • A majority (58%) of respondents identified “Not Enough Grant Funding” as the key challenge they faced
  • Roughly a third of organisations had an annual turnover of less than £5,000
  • Slightly more organisations received income through fund raising than grant funding
