The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has published its third sector strategy. The strategy sets out the Department’s vision for their ongoing relationship with the third sector.
The strategy starts with the measures needed to provide our third sector with a healthy environment in which to thrive. Next, it sets out the nature of the department’s relationship with third sector organisations and how they can make the partnership stronger and more beneficial to both. The strategy then considers how they can help to provide a sustainable pool of talented and enthusiastic volunteers.
It tackles the question of social enterprise and, finally, it re-iterates the department’s commitment to act as champion for third sector organisations in their sectors. The strategy translates the department’s vision, wherever possible, into direct actions.
