On Monday Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum sponsored a visit by Dame Suzi Leather, Chair of the Charity Commission, to Cornwall. The visit was organised by Martin Pallett of the Charity Chief Executives in Cornwall group. Details and pictures are available below:
A new report from the Charity Commission reveals that one in four adults are ashamed about receiving charitable support. It also highlights how demand for charitable help exceeds supply. More than a third of the 2,000 organisations surveyed say that they cannot fulfill requests for help. In addition, 19% say they have been unable to get funding for new activities or people, and 16% state they cannot secure funding to maintain onging services or activities.

Just a note to say that Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum are now set up in our new office in Old Bridge Street, Truro.
Our new Admin Assistant Chris Augarde has also now started with us, so generally you should start finding it easier to track us down using the new office telephone. The details are below. Please note that we are not taking visitors just yet, as we are still unpacking / sorting out our furniture etc. but we hope to be fully operational by next week.
